Dr Xavier HoInteraction Design Lecturer

Xavier Ho is the creator of Roguelike Universe, Smoke and Fire, co-developer of Golden Fleece and other interactive curiosities. He loves to experiment with new technologies that can bridge the gap between techniques and creativity. 

Xavier is a visualisation designer and creative technologist making digital installations and conducting research on design-led visualisations. He focuses on projects that aim to encourage a safer, more inclusive society. 

Xavier obtained his PhD at Design Lab, the University of Sydney under Professor Martin Tomitsch’s guidance. His contributions has been recognised by multiple awards, including as Finalist for the Victorian Premier’s Design Awards in the Digital Design category (‘Early Algal Warning System’), the Government & Public Sector Solution of the Year at the 2020 Digital Canberra iAwards (‘Graincast’), and more. He received one of the CSIRO Diversity and Inclusion Medals for his contributions to the inclusion strategy and awareness outreach.
