Dr Sam FreemanPhD graduate

Dr Sam Freeman is a researcher with a background in data analysis, and monitoring and evaluation. Previously, he researched audiences and issues such as gender, violence against women, health, education and governance across Asia and the Pacific for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation International Development.

Sam completed his PhD under the supervision of Prof Mark Andrejevic and Prof Jon McCormack in October 2023, researching the ethics and implications of artificial intelligence on the Australian healthcare system, with specific focus on hospital emergency departments.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University, and a Graduate Diploma of Media and Communications and Master of Development Studies from the University of Melbourne.
