Leona HollowayResearch Assistant

Leona Holloway worked as a research assistant in SensiLab, specialising in accessibility projects. Her work focused on access to graphics for people with a vision impairment. She is interested in the use of new technologies such as 3D printing for access to graphics in education, orientation and mobility, and the arts. Her focus is on user interaction and developing best practice strategies for implementation.

Leona is Australia’s representative on the executive of the International Council on English Braille (ICEB), serves on the executive of the Australian Braille Authority (ABA) and established the Australia & New Zealand Accessible Graphics Group (ANZAGG). She has a background in accessible formats production and design in the not-for-profit sector. She is currently undertaking a PhD in the Inclusive Technology group at Monash.
