Dr Rowan PageIndustrial Design Researcher

Dr Rowan Page the director of the Industrial Design program in Monash University’s Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture. His research and practice is focused on the design of smart wearable devices for health and medical applications. Through design practice, his research helps to translate fundamental medical and technology research into commercially viable outcomes. He is interested in design speculation, digital fabrication, co-design and the integration of technology and product design. 

Rowan completed his PhD in 2018, working in collaboration with Cochlear Ltd. on the design and development of external devices for cochlear implant systems, with a focus on improved usability and user experience. He is an award-winning Industrial Designer and has worked at several leading Australian design consultancies and at General Motors Holden.
