Dr Monika SchwarzResearch Fellow

Monika Schwarz is a research fellow and specialist in archaeology and data visualisation. She is fascinated by the way data visualisation can incite interest in and bring a deeper understanding of often quite stuffy historical data collections. She is working with Professors Jon McCormack and Kim Marriott on the ARC Linkage project Conviction Politics. She holds a PhD in Archaeology from the University of the Saarland in 2004 and has worked as a field archaeologist in different countries in Europe. She obtained a Masters Degree in IT from Monash University in 2016. As a Research Fellow at Monash University, she did interface design and data analysis on the IARPA funded SWARM project.
