Edward TurnerLab Manager

Edward is focused on filling the gaps that are left by traditional manufacturing. Utilising design and rapid prototyping methods to produce unique aids, tools and devices.
His interests include digital fabrication, 3D printing, 3D scanning, robotics, CNC Milling, generative and script based 3d modelling, sculpture, product design, novel fabrication methods, facility optimisation and resto-modding everything possible.

He is currently lab manager for SensilLab and a technical officer for the Monash Art, Design and Architecture digital fabrication (dFab) workshop. Specialising in Industrial design prototyping, blending fabrication methods for fine art and the optimisation of fabrication spaces.

Previously Edward was an Industrial Designer, explored the potential of steam bent timber at KISD Cologne, designed for the Australian furniture industry, tutored in advanced ceramic 3d printing and created prototypes for product designers.
