‘FameLab aims to discover charismatic, up-and-coming scientists who inspire people to see the world from a new perspective.’
This international science communication competition, run by the British Council, challenges researchers around the world to explain a scientific concept to a general audience in three minutes, and without slides or a presentation.
Semi-finals will take place around Australia during March and April, followed by a national final in May. The national champion will go on to represent Australia at the FameLab International final in the UK.
You can watch Shelly, Domenico and the other semi-finalists compete for a spot in the national final on 28 March at 6pm at the Melbourne Museum. More information and how to book your free ticket can be found here.
