Emotion and Immersion

How can we create deep emotional connections through immersive technologies?

Artists Isobel Knowles and Van Sowerwine work with stop-motion animation, immersive installation and VR to create digital and physical experiences, facilitating a constant reciprocal exchange between the hand-made and new technologies. Their conceptual development and production techniques are technically complex and artistically rigorous – honed over twenty years of practice. In this presentation, they explore the heart of their practice to reveal their motives and rationale behind the creation of these works.
