Steph O’Hara is an artist-technologist and researcher with over 25 years of experience developing innovative interactive gestural music technologies for performance, education, and accessibility contexts.

His PhD at SensiLab, Monash University, supervised by Dr. Alon Ilsar and Professor Jon McCormack, takes shape through the AirKit — a modular system for gestural interaction and collaborative music-making that is simultaneously a hands-on instrument and a research practice about embodiment, inclusion, and the act of playing.
